The Master is especially aimed at teachers, educationalists, psychologists and other educational professionals who wish to obtain the AMI Diploma to become Montessori guides in the 6 – 12 years environment. Nevertheless, it is also open to any person from any background who wishes to get to know in depth the Montessori method for the 6 – 12 age group.

Entry requirements

University degree in the field of Education Science, Pedagogy, Psychology or other related university degrees. Holders of other university qualifications may also be eligible to complete the Master, depending on the personal circumstances of the individual. If the applicant does not hold a university degree and for personal or professional reasons wishes to study for the Master, the possibility exists of obtaining the AMI Montessori diploma for 6 – 12 years. However, instead of being awarded the Master’s Degree, these students receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Foundation: Innovation and Training.

Additionally, if the student already has the AMI Guide 6 – 12 years Diploma, or an AMI certificate from a Basics 6 – 12 course taken at another centre, they may request the validation of the two subjects linked to the Montessori Fundamentals in Infant Education course. In this case, the student may begin the Master five weeks later, on 27 July 2020.

This Master requires a great deal of work and preparation at university level and therefore during the registration process students will be required to provide references, present their reasons for wishing to carry out the Master and have a personal interview with the director of the Master in order to clear up any doubts.
